MUSE Winston-Salem is honored to be the site for “Speaking in Tongues; From Africa to Louisiana, to digital hush harbors, and urban areas,” a solo exhibition of international visual artist Angelbert Metoyer. Part of this year’s 1 LOVE Festival, the exhibit opens with a public reception on June 27th, 6:30pm-8:30pm, at 226 S. Liberty Street. The 1 LOVE Festival’s inaugural artist-in-residence, the Houston and Rotterdam-based Metoyer spent April exploring and creating in the Camel City, set-up in studio space at “The Wherehouse,” the now legendary downtown art space.

In “Speaking in Tongues,” Metoyer—a multidisciplinary artist known for referencing “ancient and modern mythologies from all over the world, exploring memory, social changes in human history”—will feature work created here and elsewhere.
